Emotional Impact Family Support Trinitas Cancer Center TCCC Staff Members Survivors' Day
Survivors' Day is a day of reflection, a re-affirmation of life and a celebration of the indomitable spirit of those somehow touched by cancer. Each year in June, Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center (TCCC) invites patients, caregivers and loved ones to share in their experiences and their joy.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees are treated to a catered meal and local entertainment. There is time for enlightenment from various speakers whose own experiences with cancer have a profound impact on the crowd. In the end, we share a few laughs, dry a few tears and recognize the greater good that has come of it all.
For the TCCC staff specifically, Survivors' Day is a chance to reconnect with our patients and their families. It is a time to renew our friendships and contemplate the role we play as healthcare providers in the enduring and achievable victory over cancer.
