Trinitas team participates in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
As it has in previous years, several staffers from Trinitas Comprehensive
Cancer Center formed a team that participated in the 2nd Annual Susan G. Komen
North Jersey Race for the Cure. The event was held on Sunday, April 26th in
Essex County Branch Brook Park, Newark, New Jersey.
The Susan G. Komen Race is the largest series of 5K run/walks in the world
designed to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer and to
celebrate breast cancer survivorship.
Trinitas Chair of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Lisa Hensonl states, "The event was
not just a great way to help support breast cancer research, education,
screening and treatment programs in the community, but also was an excellent
opportunity for physicians and staff to get together and demonstrate their deep
commitment to cancer care."
